Juventus will head into the second leg against Lyon in a bad position. The club from Turin lost against Lyon, without star player Depay, Wednesday night after Tousart scored the only goal of the match.
After half an hour, Juventus defender Matthijs de Ligt injured his head after a collision with his team mate Alex Sandro. As a result, his head was bleeding because of which he had to leave the pitch. Lyon profited from the fact that Juventus had only 10 men. The French team scored the only goal of the match while De Ligt was waiting behind the sideline.
Aouar had a great run down the flank, walking past Juventus midfielder Bentancur, before cutting inside the box. He passed the ball back to Tousart, who tapped the ball past Szczesny. Lyon had a few chances to double the lead before half time, but the score remained 1-0 after 45 minutes.
In the second half, Lyon played a bit more passively and let Juventus have posession. The Italians failed to create many chances however and did not score in the second half. Lyon will try to defend their lead as they travel to the Allianz Stadium March 17th.
