Schalke got thrashed by RB Leipzig Saturday night, as they lost 5-0 at home against die Roten Bullen.
The night started off disastrous for the club from Gelsenkirchen, as they conceded in less than a minute. After a quick counter, Sabitzer scored from an incredible long shot from outside the box.
Schalke limited the damage conflicted in the first half, but in the second half RB Leipzig had no mercy for Schalke. After an hour of playing, Timo Werner scored his 21st goal of the season and doubled the lead for Leipzig, with an amazing shot in the top right corner from inside the box. Halstenberg added to the score in the 68th minute with a header from a corner. Angelino scored the first goal for Leipzig, the club that loaned him from Manchester City in January.
The final goal was scored by Forsberg, bringing the score to 5-0. With this win, Leipzig stays in the race for the Bundesliga championship. The East German club is only one point away from Bayern in an exceptional exciting Bundesliga title race with Dortmund sitting third with 4 points behind Bayern and Borussia Mönchengladbach in fourth with 6 points behind Bayern and one game in hand.
