Tyson Fury beats Deontay Wilder in world champion fight in Vegas

The Englishman can call himself the WBC Heavyweight world champion after dethroning Deontay Wild saturday night, ending his five year reign. It took the Gypsy King seven rounds to beat the American.

Tyson Fury knocked Wilder down for the first time in the third round, with a jab and right hand. In the 5th round, Fury knocked Wilder down again in another dominating round.

After this round, Wilder looked like he was done. His legs were shaky and he had a hard time moving. His coach decided to throw in the towel in the seventh round, making Tyson Fury the new heavyweight WBC world champion.

Fury started off his speech in the post-fight interview by thanking Jesus Christ, after which he complimented Deontay Wilder calling him a “warrior”. He concluded his interview with the words “The king has returned to the top of the throne”. He then went on to sing ‘American Pie’, together with the thousands of British fans who travelled to Las Vegas to watch the fight.
