XFL History: First 3-point conversion ever.

The LA-based Wildcats secured a 3-point conversion in their first home game of the first XFL season. Unlike the NFL, there’s no kick for an extra point in the XFL. Instead, the scoring team can go for a 1, 2 or 3 point conversion from 2, 5 or 10 yards.

The Wildcats decided to go for a 3 point conversion after an amazing 44-yard touchdown pass from Josh Johnson to Nelson Spruce and made history with the first ever 3 point conversion in the newly formed league. It wasn’t enough to make a comeback against the Dallas Renegades, as the Renegades will return to Texas with a 25-18 victory.

The attendance at the game in LA was 14,979. This is the lowest attendance of any XFL game so far and the first game with an attendance under 15,000.
